Matrox does not support the mix and match of Maevex units with different FW. All units on a given Maevex network must have the same FW installed. Contact Matrox Technical Support for more details.

If you currently have installed a version of Matrox PowerStream software and firmware, and you want to upgrade, we recommend not uninstalling your current installed version before installing the new version.  Otherwise, any Matrox Maevex units that were manually added to the environment will no longer appear.

If you choose to uninstall your current installed version of the Matrox PowerStream software and firmware before installing the new version, contact Matrox Technical Support.

If your Maevex environment is using version 1.02 of Matrox PowerStream software and firmware, and you install a new Maevex unit with the 1.03.xx version of the firmware, the 1.02 version will not be able to access the unit (the unit tile will be light gray). You will have to downgrade the firmware of the Maevex unit to version 1.02.

The Matrox decoder now supports MPEG4-LATM and MPEG4-GENERIC audio streaming, and the Matrox encoder only supports MPEG4-GENERIC audio streaming.
