ConvertIP DRS
SMPTE 2110 and IPMX to SDI encoder/decoder
Matrox ConvertIP DRS features 12G-SDI, genlock, and three RJ45 ports on a single device. ConvertIP DRS is designed for 1G AV workflows and is optimal for an ultra-low latency experience. The device can receive power over Ethernet through its RJ45 connection, or it can be powered through an optional power supply unit. Both can be used simultaneously to deliver power redundancy.

SDI to IP
With support for 12G-SDI input and output, ConvertIP DRS can seamlessly convert traditional SDI signals to and from IP. This removes the need to abandon existing SDI investments while providing the flexibility and scalability of IP transport.

Multi-network support
ConvertIP DRS is designed with advanced networking capabilities to meet the demands of modern IP-based infrastructures. The device is equipped with two RJ45 ports with both 1G and 2.5G network support for media and control. It also has a 1G RJ45 port for an independent control network path, making it ideal for large AV installations where reliability and network segmentation are critical.
Unmatched flexibility
ConvertIP DRS can be configured as either a transmitter or receiver, providing ultimate flexibility and making it ideal for dynamic environments and inventory management. This all-in-one functionality simplifies deployment and reduces the need for additional hardware. Plus, its fanless, quiet, and compact design means you can install it anywhere—whether in a server room or behind a monitor.

Compressed IP transport
Designed to adapt to various workflows, ConvertIP DRS supports multiple transport options for maximum flexibility:
- Includes the Pro AV codec for visually lossless compression of media over 1G network
- Optional JPEG-XS license for SMPTE ST 2110-22 support
- Transmit and receive audio using SMPTE ST 2110-30 and AES67
- Manage ancillary data such as closed captions, timecode, and other metadata with SMPTE ST 2110-40 support
- Achieves subframe glass-to-glass latencies using either codec
Built on open standards
With full IPMX/ST 2110 compatibility, ConvertIP DRS integrates with other IPMX/ST 2110 devices and equipment, optimizing workflows and reducing installation complexity. NMOS open APIs simplify device discovery and connection management ensure future-proof installations across IP workflows and environments.

Integrated quad-split multiviewer
ConvertIP DRS is equipped with a powerful multi-view feature that allows users to display up to four HD signals on a single screen. With support for compressed IP streams, an output can be configured in full HD or pristine 4K resolution.
Simplified power with the
convenience of PoE+
ConvertIP DRS simplifies installation with the convenience of PoE+ over a single cable, optimizing power distribution and maximizing efficiency. For added redundancy, an optional power supply cable (sold separately) can be used alongside PoE+ to create a dual-power setup, ensuring continuous uptime even if one source fails, making it ideal for critical installations.

PTP-derived genlock output
ConvertIP DRS offers genlock output derived from Precision Time Protocol (PTP). This ensures devices such as PTZ cameras can all have synchronized SDI outputs. It’s an essential feature for maintaining broadcast-grade performance in multi-source systems.
