Featuring four DisplayPort™ connectors, Extio 3 also extends multi-display desktops extender and delivers multiple video, keyboard, mouse, USB 2.0,  audio, and RS232 signals with a single pair of KVM transmitter and receiver units—over LAN, WAN, or internet—for the ultimate KVM matrix over IP.

Fast multi-monitor, multi-system control

View and operate four source computer systems from any Extio receiver unit and control them with a single keyboard and mouse set. Seamlessly shift control from one target source system to another simply by moving your mouse across a multi-screen desktop. 

With Aggregator Mode, you can shift from the current desktop to the next by moving the mouse freely across multiple desktops. For an even more efficient way to control multiple KVM systems, the Tile View feature enables you to display up to four separate systems on one 4K or FHD monitor.

Secure KVM control

A non-intrusive solution, Extio 3 doesn’t require any additional software installation on the source system. It also features multiple built-in safety protections to prevent security gaps in the safeguarding of sensitive information: 

  • Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to encrypt KVM signals transmitted between transmitter and receiver units. 
  • USB encryption and device management to block or authorize USB 2.0 devices.
  • Integration with Microsoft® Active Directory® and with an IPSec (Internet Security Protocol) VPN client to ensure secure KVM extension over the internet.

Matrox Extio 3 Series safeguards installations by using HTTPs, a secure communication protocol for control commands over the network. Extio 3 encrypts the transmitted AV and USB signals and protects the desktop content. Extio 3 also easily integrates with Microsoft® Active Directory® services and allows IT managers to use existing Active Directory accounts for user authorization and authentication. Compatible with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Extio 3 devices can be monitored through third-party network management software.
